Privacy
Most of this site works without an account and records nothing about you. Only the configuration design tool asks you to sign in.
When you sign in to the design tool
We keep:
- your email address, and the name and organization you give, if any;
- for each design search: when you ran it, the inputs and constraints, the number of candidates, how long it took and the best unity found;
- the country the request came from, when our hosting provider reports it.
We do not keep passwords, because there are none. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email.
Why
The design search is the expensive part of the site to run. Knowing who uses it lets us keep it free, set fair daily limits and contact users about problems or improvements. We also report aggregate figures, such as the number of users and organizations, when describing the project's reach. Those figures never name you without your permission.
Who sees it
Only the site's author. The data is stored with Supabase, which provides the sign-in service and database, and the site runs on Render. We do not sell or share it, and we do not use it for advertising.
The strength tool and the rest of the site
The strength prediction tool needs no account. Its inputs are sent to our server to compute the result and are not saved. Like most web servers, ours keeps short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, for troubleshooting.
Deleting your data
To have your account and search history deleted, or to ask what we hold, use the contact page or email us from the address you signed in with.
